Icelanders: Most Peaceful and Politically Conscious of People Icelanders are unusually political conscious people, motivated to act for their causes, and do so peacefully. With a leftist government opposed to NATO, EU and US aggressive wars it behooves the government and its supporters to implement this program. With increased tourism, drug smuggling and rampant porn one wonders if the country will continue to be peaceful and democratic.
