Examining the "Victim-Blaming" Charge Aimed at Mayim Bialik: A Question of Choice The feminist critique of Mayim Bialik's op-ed - crediting her dress and behavior for her escape from the worst of Harvey Weinstein's Hollywood - is well founded, if somewhat simplistic. But the dichotomy of "victim-blaming" vs. "free choice" needs to be re-examined, in the light of societal pressures for women - and girls - to self-sexualize.

For the second time, with a second host, MSNBC has inexplicably allowed the irresponsible equation of Trump's brand of tribalism with so-called "identity politics on the left." Why these otherwise admirable hosts remained silent in both cases, is a mystery.

A Conservative Argument for Reversing this Electoral Travesty There is a campaign to urge the electors of the Electoral College - who meet December 19th - to vote for the winner of the popular vote in this election. In addition to being more democratic, such a move is urgent in the particular case of this "winner." While liberals decry his racism and hatred, perhaps an even stronger argument can be made by conservatives for his threats to national security. I urge them to join.

Comey's Revelations Demand Urgent Action by DNC Superdelegates FBI Director Comey's statement on Hillary Clinton's email use - while not rising to the level of indictment - can only be seen as politically devastating. Between the end of the primaries and today, the standard argument from Hillary supporters to critics of her, has been to stifle that criticism in fear of a Trump win. With this report, it is HRC's carelessness that is the threat to Democrats in 2016.

Trump, The GOP, and Rape Candidate Trump moves seamlessly from accusing Mexican immigrants in general of being rapists, to shrugging off his coveted endorsement by an actual convicted rapist. Regardless of the merit of Mike Tyson's conviction, in both cases, Trump follows a GOP tradition of using rape as a tool of patriarchy and white privilege, without actually being concerned about the crime of rape.

Bernie's Inequality Message for Trump Voters While Trump is trying to bring Sanders voters into his camp, it is Sanders who has the greater argument for Trump voters to join him. Unfortunately, Trump's appeals to "aggrieved entitlement" are easier to grasp in our post-Fox-News environment, than are Sanders' economic arguments.
