Reps smell blood. Reports indicate Obama and Biden lied about the Michael Flynn investigation, which, along with illegally surveilling Carter Page and George Papadopoulos, are the beginnings of the Russiagate operation. There's even video, along with former FBI agent Peter Strzok's notes. Allies at DOJ admitted they "inadvertently altered" documents related to the Flynn investigation. James Comey, Obama's FBI Director, testified under oath that Biden did not raise the Logan Act with regard to Michael Flynn. Like Sussmann, he lied.
Leaders of the House of Reps have been saying the same thing to anyone who would listen. High ranking officials in the House of Dems used the "deep state" to "fabricate" the Trump-Russia connection. Now there's evidence. While friendly media continue to gaslight the public, Reps connect the dots. The Sussmann indictment will lead directly to the House of Dems.
But don't be alarmed. Whether by way of a covert operation to subvert the Constitution or by ginning up bloody insurrection, these occasional tiffs between elites will not alter the structure of power a whit. Expect more hysterics, more histrionics, more hyperbole, more hoarding and very little change. Both Houses will continue to play word games ("no one is above the law") and working people will continue to suffer. The whip and the chain sting no matter who holds the leash. Ask Josef Mifsud or Stefan Halper or Julian Assange, if you can find them.
So let's all settle back, sip a warm cup of tea and watch the show. A plague on both your Houses.
