All About the Base

"'Despite what the media thinks, politics is not a baseball game with polls. Politics is not a soap opera. What politics is about in a democratic society is people coming together and improving life,' he said.

"'This campaign is not about Bernie Sanders, it is not about Hillary Clinton, it is not about anyone else, it is about you.'"

It's about us. Not the corporations. Not the lobbyists. Not the foreign oil czars. Not expanding global dominance. It's about the American People. Working for a better life, a better environment, better civil rights, better foreign policy, better infrastructure, better education, better wages, and a better economy for us.

When is the last time you heard a politician say this and actually mean it? For the first time in a very, very long time, we have a candidate who will fight for our welfare above all else. For us, the base of the Democratic Party.

Now, what are we going to do about it?
