Notice, I have no questions about previous organization. I am interviewing an unemployed person.
And now a real story from my experience. Once I got my hands on a resume which went through many hands before me. Apparently the general conclusion was negative because the narrative did not demonstrate the necessary team-building qualities of a person. I looked at it and immediately sent a message that a guy should have been hired on the spot, no questions asked. When HR asked me why I pointed to the first line on the experience. It stated "Engineering experience since 1886." That's how you miss your Highlander.
