Will U.S. Empire Succumb To The Incoherence Of Its Delusional Red and Blue Tribes?

Trump and company's incessant gas lighting is principally aimed at the Trump cult, but they also strive to convince the general public that " the sh*t-show in a dumpster fire" that dominates daily life isn't really happening. And, that Trump is not a self-obsessed psychopath and world class worries, Trump is just being Trump!?

Unfortunately, we're now witnessing the rise of a competing gas-lit narrative aimed at another delusional "cult".

It seems apparent that the Democratic Party establishment realized quite a while ago that Joe Biden was past it. Despite repeated denials, Dem strategists conspired to under-cut Bernie Sanders' position at the top of presidential polls.

Would-be establishment savior, Mike Bloomberg spent half a billion dollars in his quest to displace Sanders. But, as it turned out he was unprepared and - for various glaring reasons - incapable of assuming the roll of Bernie slayer.

Democratic elites have painted themselves into an electoral corner. As none of the other myriad presidential aspirants have attracted a significant following among the faithful, they perceived their only remaining option to be lighting a fire under the fading Biden.

The South Carolina primary provided the backdrop for the rise of the Phoenix narrative. "Confused Joe" was now "Fighting Joe" - the Bernie smiter incarnate. In true Trump delusion fashion, Democratic primary voters pushed aside the obvious signs that Biden is unfit to be president, and jumped on the Super Tuesday bandwagon.

The head-scratching "lying dog-faced pony soldier" incident has been eclipsed by an even larger red flag arising when Biden accused a campaign event participant of being "full of sh*t" when challenged on his second amendment fealty. Biden "shushed" away his minder and challenged his interrogator to "go outside" where the agitated candidate was apparently prepared to kick some butt.

There's a reason (probably more than one) that Jimmy Carter has endorsed Bernie Sanders. More Democratic luminaries need to step-up, and either endorse Sanders, or call for Biden to withdraw his candidacy.
