Just as Trump's ascendancy unmasked fake liberals and leftists, the continuing unmasking of fakeness has a familiar sound. For example why would not the people support a direct hand in dismantling whatever we could of the federal reserve? There are many serious unsolved problems in our reality. The reality that the fed is the piggy bank of the ruling elites is certainly uncontested and unresolved.
This Asia Times article by William Pesak whines that Trump is unhappy with his appointed fed chairman, Jerome Powell, because the fed is raising rates. When was the last time the people did anything for the 50%? As soon as one hears the glorification of near full employment and other belying the facts propaganda, it is time for the dog whistle.
Instead of belittling Trump, we should support his poking the establishment; after all who of us are in the position to do so? All efforts that undermine the influence of ruling class and their institutions should be supported. Of course we also recognize that Trump's call for more free money is typical of the klepto class... sweet/bitter. The elites have their own reasons for raising rates. And as Billy Preston used to sing, "Nothing from Nothing, leaves nothing... you gotta have something if you want to be with me", and from the same song, "... I am a soldier in the war on poverty." Indeed I would venture that most of us OENers are soldiers on the war on poverty among other causes, or we would not be here. In that regard, check out the comments by readers to this story. The unmaking is well underway. As soon as a tool of the elites is glorified, we must assess whether to resist the prop and support the revolution, or sit on our hands.
