MAB: That is so practical, as well as hopeful, to remember that we don't have to wait for an election to vote--that we can vote with every dollar, and in every moment that we consciously choose to. Thanks for that reminder, Stephen!
In the bizarre political climate we are experiencing now, everybody is eagerly seeking answers. The 4th estate is not upholding its end in providing a balanced platform upon which citizens can discover these answers, therefore many people are exploring other sources.
In your presentations you mention how important it is to notice patterns and themes, and that these can provide insight into current events. I remember author Caroline Myss talking about how the cosmos seeks balance, and one of her examples was to compare and contrast two of the biggest disasters of the last century, which happened within 88 days of each other: the Space Shuttle Challenger disaster (January 28, 1986) and the Chernobyl nuclear reactor disaster (April 26, 1986, just three days before the Challenger astronauts' bodies were transferred from Cape Canaveral to Dover AFB). Myss noted that the Challenger was an explosion in the realm of Father Sky, involving a masculine, phallic symbol. The counterbalance to that was the explosion within the feminine Mother Earth at Chernobyl. Myss noted that these events were related on "cause and effect" or "equal and opposite reaction" levels, and that they had archetypal meaning.
That was my introduction to observing current events as something besides just the outer news, that events may have implications and relationships on other levels. And of course, if aspects of these relationships can be determined, then it can be possible to make an educated guess about likely outcomes. I know that you are also tuned to patterns, impressions and themes, can you share any which might have connection with the current political campaigns?
SP: That was insightful of Caroline Myss. Perhaps she too was aware of the relatively rare sojourn of Pluto in its own sign of Scorpio in the 1980s. This planet of hidden causes, transformation, death and rebirth was especially potent in that decade, and the sexual associations of those two disasters are very appropriate for this sign and this planet.
Herodotus, the 5th Century BC Greek historian who wrote systematically of events, people and signs, included prophesies and signs as a matter of fact. So it was not uncommon in his time to write of such things. I think it would be great if we brought back this tradition. Could you imagine the 8 o'clock News being presented this way? For instance, remember when Pope Francis -- a few years ago -- released the two doves in solidarity with the Ukraine? Within seconds, both doves were attacked by birds of prey.
Bad sign.
Remember when Ted Cruz chose Carly Fiorina as his VP, and within a week his campaign was over?!
Bad choice! Did you see Carly Fiorina fall from a stage at a Ted Cruz event two days before he called it quits? A sign?
The mystic knows that there is no cause and effect between the doves and the Russian aggressions against the Ukraine. The fall of Carly was a meaningful coincidence at just the right time. Signs - these are "intriguing synchronicities." The universe is talking to us. Giving us clues.
All the time.
We have been told: "Those who have ears, hear. Those who have eyes, see."
Right now Donald Trump is riding his own wave of Leo ego and attention. This emphasizes his Ascendant or Rising Sign, which is the proud Lion -- obnoxiously backed up, I must add, by pugnacious Mars, also in Leo. Trump is competitive, vain with a mane, and ready to roar. This is true for him most of the time, but his progressed Sun, which moves about one degree per year, is now exactly on his Leo Ascendant at 29 degrees -- the end of the sign, and quite potent.
