Radical individualist Uranus wants change and contrast now, while Pluto lurks in the shadows, working up steam for the thorough transformation that will ultimately get to the core. They could make a formidable team, and thus their alignment could bring profound and lasting change to one's life, and the way societies do things. Not everyone welcomes these kinds of changes. Some may be fearful of losing all that they have built up in life. As in the 1960s, there will be people who will strive to stop change and progress. They will again be on the wrong side of history.

So far there have not been the assassinations as in the 1960s, but there are plenty of nut cases with guns, so too many shootings. The words socialism and revolution are openly used in politics today. How about that?!

The cool thing is that the visionary kids born in the 1990s, the so-called "indigo children" with the rare Uranus - Neptune conjunction, are now and will continue to be the college kids and young adults who can create something stimulating and fresh, now. Many of them are the dissatisfied youth in the oppressive Arab lands. Their vision is clear. Freedom from dictatorships, but those monarchies and despots are holding on tight, and with force. Here in the USA young people are feeling the Bern.

What else is happening?

Fukushima Japan; this catastrophe (some people, and nations, have to have a crisis in order to change) has created many serious discussions and decisions about closing down old reactors and reconsidering the whole viability of this pollution-crazy technology. Climate change is serious, too. Disastrous might be a better word here (If I may, dis-aster originally meant against a star, or planet, or against divine order.)

So here is the cosmic news as I see it: if it is the '60s again, and you could jump in and participate, what would you do? What would you sing, would you have flowers in your hair? Is it time to protest?

Let me adjust my wizard's cap.

Spirituality is calling, but reactionary and recalcitrant types do not want to heed the call. What to do? Separate from the negative influences, even though it might hurt and feel like a loss.

You may feel a burning desire to overhaul several areas of your life, or it could be that life events force you to clean out your own cupboards, literally and metaphorically speaking. You will come across very strong personalities, for good or ill: Magicians and con-artists, visionaries and eccentrics. This is an intense time when your emotional attachments will be challenged. You might be forced to let go of something you value, or you will recognize that there are forces beyond your control that you must adapt to. For people who like consistency and security, this can be traumatic and leave you feeling vulnerable. What is the root cause? Is Life trying to teach you something profound?

To find out, it is a good time for taking any action which will help you gain insight into your deeper truths and your inner life, such as attending workshops, reading, analyzing dreams, or entering therapy. There is someone near who can help. Pay attention to signs, synchronicities and symbols; the cosmos is communicating - for those who have eyes to see and ears to hear.

The transformative planets of Uranus and Pluto are here, today. The storms are blowing. War, pollution, refugees and strife internationally, school shootings.

Last summer, 2015 -- the Supreme Court ruling made same-sex marriage a civil right, nationwide. This is an echo of the 1960s when various minorities were fighting for equality and recognition. Liberal marijuana laws; the movement grows in many states. Sanders vows to make marijuana federally legal. I thought I would never see the day. I have considered the "War on Drugs" as "Prohibition 2." We know that Prohibition in the 1920s and 1930s backfired, creating an underworld of crime and mobsters, as we have seen with the war on drugs. Pluto -- the planet of the underworld-- came into our awareness, coincidentally, in 1930 -- right in the middle of this failed attempt at regulating morals.

Now, as to the three candidates and this evolutionary dynamic of squaring planets...
