Because hydroponic farms are completely self-reliant they aren't affected by decades-long drought and they can exist anywhere. Instead of investing billions in controversial GMO crops, Bill Gates should be building hydroponic gardens throughout Africa.
This would cost him pennies on the dollar because we're not paying for any new research, unnatural GMOs or developing new technologies. The research is done, and we already know exactly how to create the perfect conditions for crop production and we already have the technology to carry this out.
It's called "hydroponic farming."
While it would mean switching from a grain-based diet, which requires vast acreage and isn't practical as a hydroponic crop, we could end starvation and malnutrition as we know it in a matter of a few short years.
If this is all so simple why hasn't it already been done?
The answer is simple.
Hydroponic growers have fallen into a trap of continually defending what they do and the methods they use instead of being proud of it and out there promoting it day and night as they should be.
Hydroponic growers have nothing to defend and nothing to apologize for and need to stand up for what they really are. Hydroponic farmers have the ultimate bragging rights as the most sustainable and practical and earth-friendly form of agriculture of the future.
It's time they learn to use them.
