Gold: One of the things I wanted to talk about; you were saying that the basic premise for the cover-up; very quickly with regard to motive, Ray McGovern once said his acronym for OIL, was O for oil; I for (the protection of) Israel; and L for the logistical placement of bases in that region for future use. Which is basically the thing that Dr. Griffin talked about with regard to the Pax Americana

One thing I wanted to talk about was the young man from Mineta's testimony. That young man was never named, that young man was never brought before the 9/11 commission to testify and yet this is one of the most important events of the 911 day. So that's an interesting aspect of that as well.

Griffin: That's just one of over a hundred examples of the fact that they didn't do any kind of real investigation.

Gold: Right; and you asked, Rob, for a basic premise of the cover-up. Going back to the joint Congressional inquiry, there were 28 redacted pages that were omitted from that final report.

With regard to the 9/11 Commission, they were mandated to give a full and complete accounting of the 9/11 attack, so everything that they did not cover constitutes a cover-up; that includes whistleblowers, like Sibel Edmonds, who was the most gagged person in American History…

Kall: Jon, I want to talk about whistleblowers for a second. On OpEdNews, there is a lot of coverage of whistleblowers and we work with the national whistleblowers organization pretty closely. There's been reports recently, several of them, that the Bush Administration has done everything they possibly could to squelch whistleblowers.

I thought that eventually, people would come out who worked in the administration and become whistleblowers and talk about what they had seen and what they had experienced, and it ends up there's a process that whistleblowers have to go through.

Well, it also ends up that the Bush Administration decided through the Justice Department and the judiciary system, to basically silence whistleblowers. Sibel Edmonds is at the very tip of the iceberg; she is one of thousands of whistleblowers who have been silenced.
