10th Anniversary of PDB "Osama Determined To Strike in US" Excerpt: "We have not been able to corroborate some of the more sensational threat reporting, such as that from a -- service in 1998 saying that Bin Laden wanted to hijack a U.S. aircraft to gain the release of "Blind Sheikh" Omar Abdel Rahman and other U.S.-held extremists. Nevertheless, FBI information since that time indicates patterns of suspicious activity in this country consistent with preparations for hijackings...

Let Us Have Some Fun! Take a Guess at the Identity of the 'Congressman' NSA Attempted to Wiretap Life's a crap shoot! As the blogsphere begins the guessing game, I thought I'd ask OEN readers to weigh in with their best guess. So, which 'Congressman' do you think Bush and Cheney wanted to get some bad 'goods' on bad enough to violate the legislative branch with an illegal wiretap? HEARINGS: Senator Whitehouse (D-RI) Unveils Flowchart of White House/Justice Department Communications Expansion Whitehouse presented the perfect flowchart for Congress to begin the issuance of Senate subpoenas for WH and DoJ officials.
