Co-Sponsor Sen. Saxby Chambliss (R-GA) Offers Lame Excuse For Contraception Bills S. 2043 and S. 1467
Given this logic, I suppose Saxby Chambliss believes that Americans who are morally opposed to civil rights for all Americans would be allowed to discriminate against minorities with such acts as such re-segregating lunch counters and schools? If the government is going to acknowledge the 'moral convictions' of one religious group, what is to stop them from writing laws taking into account every religions' "convictions?"

Jesselyn Radack, the Dept of Justice (DOJ) whistleblower who exposed violations in the federal government's handling of the case against "American Taliban" John Walker Lindh, has released a new memoir about her experience blowing the whistle on Bush administration officials' wrongdoing, the subsequent and significant retaliation against her for doing so.
Jack Abramoff: Rehabilitated or More Dangerous Than Ever?
On 60 Minutes Sunday evening, former uber-lobbyist, felon, and ex-convict, Jack Abramoff, presented himself as a fallen man and asks us now to believe he has been rehabilitated by his incarceration and the horror of his criminal past. But is Jack truly rehabilitated or now in a position to be more dangerous that ever before?

10th Anniversary of PDB "Osama Determined To Strike in US"
Excerpt: "We have not been able to corroborate some of the more sensational threat reporting, such as that from a -- service in 1998 saying that Bin Laden wanted to hijack a U.S. aircraft to gain the release of "Blind Sheikh" Omar Abdel Rahman and other U.S.-held extremists.
Nevertheless, FBI information since that time indicates patterns of suspicious activity in this country consistent with preparations for hijackings...

Let Us Have Some Fun! Take a Guess at the Identity of the 'Congressman' NSA Attempted to Wiretap
Life's a crap shoot! As the blogsphere begins the guessing game, I thought I'd ask OEN readers to weigh in with their best guess. So, which 'Congressman' do you think Bush and Cheney wanted to get some bad 'goods' on bad enough to violate the legislative branch with an illegal wiretap? After the who, feel free to venture into the why and how you think the information would be used? Blackmail, prosecution, or what?
It could be a helluva season agin, Brownie...
The season is fast approaching - June -and the Bush FEMA Hurricane Emergency Plan is not ready. "A modified version of the plan in place during Katrina will be followed" instead. Meanwhile, Americans have just learned Bush rejected $800 million in foreign aid after Katrina in 2005. 'Brownie' screwup or another 'secret' policy that makes no sense.
Guess Who's Going to Dinner with Diebold, Sequoia, and Electronic ES&S?
Two elections down, another one fast approaching and we're even deeper in that quicksand called electronic voting. The more we struggle, the deeper we sink. Here's an article to remind us how far we haven't come and how much farther we must go to get clean, honest, verifiable elections.

Prosecute Bush's Illegal Spying LocallyPress YOUR courts into action where ever possible. If domestic spying took place in San Fran, prosecute the bastards there, locally. It's illegal in CA just like it is in the other 49 states. Local media will cover it. Plenty of liberal media will travel to it. Blogs will herald this 'real' news of a democracy rediscovering itself. And the main stream will follow.

The majority of voting machines now supply a paper trail. Yes, 65% of voters now have paper validation or are about to have it. That's a majority, Charlie. So why aren't you with the program? And why aren't you supporting this valuable vote verification for your constituents?
New Demand for Body Armor Politicians "Paydirt"
Shame on them all, Democrats and Republicans, with their whole families and "whole" family members who never set foot on Iraq or Afghan soil with or without armor, now clamoring for an accounting.

Why Is It Christians Need So Gawd Damn Much Saving?
With all their brow-beating and blood-thrust, how different are these extremist Christians and their demands for total submission than the "Cripps" and "Bloods" who are considered menaces to society? More humans have entered mortal combat in the name of Christianity than that any other earthly collective, and traditionally rely largely on conscription and intimidation to fill their army's ranks. And why is Alito the latest saviour?
