From one of Richard Viguerie's September Fundraising Newsletters (his capitalization):
"We must BRAND the Democrats as the party of open borders, sanctuary cities protecting illegal immigrants, violent radical socialists, job-killing regulations and trade policies, a weak "lead-from-behind" foreign policy and a hollowed-out military, restrictions on our Second Amendment rights, taxpayer funding of partial birth abortions and sex selection, and higher taxes."
From Stephen Fox: Surely, one of the most virulent, most experienced and most successful brains behind all of the conservative movements that are currently mining the United States for contributions is the mind of Richard Viguerie.
For sheer lunacy, I am hard
pressed to find any more "far out" or "far right" rhetoric and thought processes
than those of Viguerie, and his strident financial pleas.
When you get an email like this, even if you immediately reject the idea, it gets your attention:

In this article, I would like to have included cogent comments from the New York Times and the Washington Post, two of the very few papers that have any current articles on him, but they both want to charge just for reading the article! Maybe you will have better luck with a google search on this character.
I recall during the Alabama Senate campaign between the winner, Doug Jones, and the loser, Roy Moore, I got about ten breathless and strident emails from Richard Viguerie, and in each, he laid out the soon-to-be doomed strategies for Roy Moore to win. I wrote about this for OpEdNews: [To Beat Doug Jones: Richard Viguerie's Plan to Drive Alabama's Catholic Anti-Abortion Vote to Roy MooreI then sent this article to at least 50 national journalists and editors; not a single one used it, returned with questions, or even acknowledged what I was pointing out, except for a very few hardball anti-Moore journalists and editors in Montgomery, Alabama.
So maybe Viguerie is off the radar in the minds of current journalists, or else his subject is verboten or anathema for them to think about?
I even hear shades and excerpts of Viguerie's rhetoric in the nonsense spouted by Ted Cruz (maybe Viguerie's best practitioner?) in his debate with Beto O'Rourke, about which I wrote a major recent article:
Beto O'Rourke's Eloquent Idealism and Command of the Facts Clobber Ted Cruz in First Televised Debate at SMU in DallasBut what he has done for decades and is still doing, still works. Here is a typical plea, for example, sent to at least 4 million Americans:
