Trump's contempt and disdain for the Constitution's separation of powers, three co-equal branches of government and congressional oversight provided the basis for his impeachment.

The Constitution gives the Senate the responsibility to conduct an impeachment trial but when first hand witnesses willing to testify or documentation withheld by Trump are denied presentation there is no trial there is only a blatant cover up conducted by those who violated their oath of office by putting party above country.

A Trump acquittal exposes the myth that we are a nation of laws not men turning our constitutional republic into a banana republic with a despotic Dear Leader who can no longer be held accountable to any rule of law.

The Senate cover up acquittal consigns our future to one of a fascism wrapped in the flag and carrying a cross perpetrated by a delusional and dangerous demagogue, a Democrat Party that prefers to share political power with a Republican Party no longer moored to democratic norms and a cult willing to embrace the banality of evil to make America great again similar to 1930s Germany in support of someone who proclaimed he would make their country great again.
