What these eminent scientists are saying is that our usual understanding of our universe - (and therefore, our daily lives and planetary social problems) - is flawed. Based on premises from an outmoded Newtonian paradigm, our approach to solving our planetary conundrum is bound to fail.
Our current need is to examine and move beyond our well-worn assumptions. Yet, we need to do more than change our cognitive commitments. We need to transform our very being, consciousness and sense of being a person. It is only then that we will be able to have the option of successfully solving the "world-problematique". We truly need a new Copernican Revolution.
To repeat Bohm's contentions:
"Ultimately, the entire universe...has to be understood as a single undivided whole."
