MAB: I understand each of the The Celestial Labyrinths has specific attributes. Can you tell us a little more about that? Are these related to the planets?
BL: I asked Adrian practically the same thing, and his answer was that it was very intuitive and related to the seed patterns. He said he was a Jyotish astrologer and he wanted to create, or recreate labyrinth patterns for enlivening the whole field of life. I can't claim to understand it all, but I find it all very interesting!
I guess the easiest way to explain it is that labyrinths are like patterns of energy fields. The attributes can relate to the feelings or energies walking labyrinths can help create, or dissipate. For example, some of the things the Mars Labyrinth, the Labyrinth of Energy, can affect are strength, activity, courage, and logic.
Adrian also found that a labyrinths' mirror images can help reduce negative things, so for this labyrinth that could be aggression, rage, cowardice or violence.

MAB: That's fascinating. I know you'll be offering a workshop at The Labyrinth Society Gathering this year, in Hendersonville, NC, in October. What will your participants be doing in that workshop?
BL: I will be introducing the nine Celestial labyrinths, teaching the participants the seed patterns and letting them have time with each one to draw, finger walk, and experience the patterns. They will create a book of Celestial Labyrinths for using as finger labyrinths and add art and affirmations.
MAB: That sounds amazing, I'm planning to be there! Do you have any activities planned for World Labyrinth Day this year?
BL: I have done different things on WLD over the years. from workshops and small group gatherings to community events and labyrinth road trips. My quilt guild now meets on first Saturdays, so I will probably just come home after that just in time to walk the labyrinth in my front yard. It's "only" a three circuit labyrinth, but it's about 60 feet across! I will be walking at 1:00 as One!
And I will also be a WLD host at The Labyrinth Society's online site, Topia, that day!

MAB: That sounds great! And visiting Topia is a great option for people who want to participate in World Labyrinth Day, but who may not have access or ability to walk a full size labyrinth. Can you explain Topia for our readers, and how they can access it?
BL: Sure! Topia is a user-friendly, interactive, creative platform that offers a place for people and organizations to create "worlds" for social engagement, information sharing, and just plain fun. You can visit public worlds without having to create one of your own to see the possibilities in Topia. You can sign in as a guest or create an account.
While there are many other types of virtual meeting applications, Topia offers a more open approach to gathering. You don't need an invitation at a specific time; you can just pop in and enjoy the sounds of birds, the water feature, or even sit by a fire, listening to it crackle, although you might find it more fun to plan a get-together with a few friends at a designated time, to have a beautiful place to chat with one another.
Yadina Clark, TLS VP of Communications and Web Chair, spent a good bit of time creating a Labyrinth Meditation Garden: a virtual public park that has four different labyrinths that you, moving about as your "Topi" (a simple avatar), can walk virtually.
