And now Trump is using the Big Lie to try to fulfill his campaign pledge to deport 11 million residents,with the average undocumented immigrant having lived here for over 12 years and has several US citizen children and never having been incarcerated (There are 173,000 incarcerated out of 11 million, most for lack of documentation).
For those of us who live in areas with many of those denied legal protection, it is common knowledge that these people are hard-working family folks, law-abiding and honest. They are, to those of us who know them, not criminals and rapists but rather the salt of the earth.
California is seeking to become a sanctuary state, and it will be a great joy to see the right wing defenders of sacred state's rights, have a sh*t fit as they see their old defense of slavery and segregation, used to protect the protected, provide sanctuary to the peaceful neighbors that we are duty bound to protect from the fascist impulse to scapegoat and expel.
Trump has suffered another loss as this California judge has blocked his defunding of communities which see those denied legal rights as part of the fabric of the community, and the most honest, hardworking, and peaceful element at that.
If the Geman judiciary had stopped Hitler, instead of legalizing the atrocities he planned and committed, there would have been no World War with 100 million slaughtered and no Holocaust in Germany, Poland, and Ukraine.
