So as early as last year, Biden was using the same talking points, again, as the republicans and the current administration, in that “no one knew” the WMDs weren’t there. Well, no one knew largely because people like Biden kept us from hearing the facts from people like Ritter.

But, the “war on terror” isn’t the only battle experience that Biden has under his belt. You see, he helped write the bills for “the war on drugs’ as well. And we see how well that is going.

But last night, though Joe didn’t bring up the Iraq war except to suggest that we take Iraq’s money for it (that’s nice- blow the crap out of a country for nothing, then take their money ("surplus" as the MSM calls it, which would go to the people of Iraq under the nationalised oil industry plan)) and hand that money over to our corrupt failing contractors. Now that’s just beautiful isn’t it?

That’s a real “progressive” huh?

But what Joe did talk about was even more disturbing. First of all, he finally put the truth out there about Obama’s “universal” healthcare plan. It’s not “universal”. Right now, per capita, we pay more than twice what other industrialized nations pay per year; about $7,129, if you believe the Nader stats.

Now, for all the hype and promise of Obama’s healthcare plan, Bidenlast night, stated clearly that the plan was not designed as a single payer, universal healthcare plan, but rather a means by which they will simply aim to “reduce” the cost to the “average” American family by $2,500. Which would STILL leave us paying far more than other industrialized nations, and still leave the insurance companies making billions in profits.

That’s not Universal Healthcare, that’s a discount. That’s a “promise” of a discount. Who knows what will really happen. But we DO know that Obama’s plan, much like Hillary’s, includes mandatory coverage; meaning you HAVE to get coverage, so the insurance industry will INCREASE the numbers of the insured and thus their profits.

Thanks Joe. I guess we see why they got you to drop that little bomb on us.

Speaking of bombs… Joe was sounding like his old self once again last night.

The fact is, al-Qaida and the Taliban–the people who actually attacked us on 9/11–have regrouped in those mountains between Afghanistan and Pakistan and are plotting new attacks.”

War mongering Joe, once again calling out the ‘plots and plans” meme straight from the AEI/Bush storyline of the permanent war economy. But just for those of you who have forgotton, the Taliban was in DC and Texas meeting with Bush people and Cheney oil bigwigs as early as May 2001. They were trying to deal with Unical about the Trans Afghan pipeline.

Right after 9/11, the Taliban held a very public press conference where they stated, without any contingencies, that they had nothing to do with 9/11 and that if Bush had proof that bin laden and al Qaeda did it, then they themselves would hand bin Laden to Bush.

Bush never even responded to this offer. Instead, he used the pre-staged forces around Afghanistan to attack with "shock and awe".

You see, the Taliban knew that the TAP deal was sour, and that Bush and Cheney were looking for any reason to bomb the sh*t out of Afghanistan so they could move forward with the pipeline without the Taliban. So let me ask, knowing this why would they give them a reason on a silver platter? how much sense does that make? And why wouldn’t Bush just give the Taliban the evidence of al Qaeda’s connections to the attacks? Why spend all that money and all those lives, when he could have had bin Laden months after the attacks? Where is bin Laden now? That family friend of the Bushes.

A week after US forces killed 90 civilians in that country, 60 of which were kids. (Kids...), Joe Biden is talking about sending MORE troops there because they are “…the people who actually attacked us on 9/11…”? No, Joe, the people of Afghanistan did NOT attack us on 9/11.

And Saddam DIDN”T have weapons of mass destruction nor did he pose a threat to this nation.
