Puzzling is the label of dishonesty hung on Clinton when it's Trump's most prominent characteristic, not hers. Politico fact checking noted that he lies on average every three minutes fifteen seconds. Politifact named him the liar of the year last year. Then there's the "Hillary unlikeable" meme. Anyone who's met her asserts, and her public persona shows, she's affable, jovial, she smiles, responds with humor. Trump bloviates, is a braggadocio, advocates assaulting verbally and physically those who challenge him and continually takes the low road. Which one is unlikable by human standards? She consistently displays temperament for the presidency versus erratic Trump who says he loves war, nuclear weapons, and invasions. Ask: would you hire a doctor, lawyer or plumber with no experience for the job? Secretary Clinton demonstrates the intelligence to learn, adjust and change.
The Trump demagogic appeal is infectious to a human mentality in perceived crisis. It's reminiscent of the appeal to Irish workers of the often elected in the 20th century, once while serving jail time, four time Boston mayor, Massachusetts Governor and U.S. Congressman--James Michael Curley. As one man declared of the mesmerizing, even Machiavellian, orator Curley: "I don't want to go to hear him speak. Because if I do, I will end up voting for him."
