Many leftists believe that Trump is a representative of the capitalist ruling class, and he is already caving into the Deep State with all the military generals he has added to his administration. Have any U.S. presidents not been imperialists?
So, in spite of all these significant differences between leftists and rightists, why not encourage them to unite in order to abolish the CIA, when it is obvious that the two groups have many important common beliefs? Abolishing the CIA and maybe the NSA too, would be a major accomplishment.
Concerning electoral politics, can we at least agree in theory that somehow, some way we must take all money out of politics? We could give an equal voice to the seven largest national political parties. Considering the current mindset of Americans, we could conceivably choose a President from these 7 parties: the Constitution Party, the Libertarian Party, the Republican Party, the Democratic Party, the Green Party, the Socialist Party, and the Communist Party.
Both leftists and rightists are rightly fearful of any type of top-down, globalist agenda orchestrated by elitist billionaires. However, both leftists and rightists need to understand that a democratic world government could be a good thing if, and only if, it is built from the bottom-up. A democratic world government could be properly formed if it is the will of the majority of all citizens in every country. Of course, if it is set up democratically, it could also be disassembled democratically, if the majority of world citizens later had a change of heart. Totally abolishing nuclear weapons from the face of the earth and making sure that no country becomes an empire or becomes underdeveloped are compassionate values and sustainable goals.
At the website Politics1, there is a description of all the major political parties in the United States. Socialist parties have essentially been either reformist or revolutionary. I tend to favor the Socialist Party, USA, and the Democratic Socialists of America, which are considered to be reformist parties. However, I have found Brian Becker of the Party for Socialism and Liberation to be an articulate spokesman for revolutionary socialism. This video interview of Brian Becker expresses the PSL's recent book Imperialism in the 21st Century.
Having worked and retired from the public-school system, I would like to recommend something that has never been tried before: To remove the hierarchy, bureaucratization, depersonalization, and unhappiness among teachers, students, and parents--let us, in this age of the internet, encourage the neighbors who live within an elementary-school district to have complete autonomy in creating their own philosophy and curriculum for their neighborhood children. This will create town-hall democracy and neighborhood togetherness, which are lacking in today's society.
If leftists and rightists working together can get the CIA abolished, it will be a new and glorious day. If readers will watch videos like Kevin Shipp's and encourage friends and family members to do the same--that will help raise people's awareness. Time will tell who is right and what is correct about some of the subjects that leftists and rightists currently disagree on. But often leftists and rightists just have different values, which can be subjected to and settled by the democratic majority-rule process. A true democracy can only exist if all citizens are fully informed.
Ultimately, if there are seven candidates from the seven largest national political parties competing in presidential debates, it will dramatically widen the spectrum of viewpoints that American voters can consider. That would be so refreshing. Then, for the very first time, we could have a democratic society.
