Trump meanwhile is off on a tariff binge against the majority of US trading partners. In particular China getting a 34% tariff on its goods traded to the US, which they in turn put a 34% tariff on US goods to China.
Looks like Trump is sparking a trade war.
I guess his attention span got compromised on his desire to end the Ukraine war, which got sidelined in favor of his tariff initiatives.
This is typical of Trump's behavior going off on tangents whenever he has the urge to do so. Which is why he's the most unpredictable person in the world.
Getting back to the Ukraine cease-fire agreement. In less than two weeks the 30-day moratorium attacking energy infrastructure will end.
Though Russia has observed the cease fire it is safe to say they have not taken kindly to Ukraine's repeated violations and I suspect will retaliate, likely launching its own massive barrage on Ukraine energy facilities.
The fact is Russia is winning the war in Ukraine. It will likely continue until Trump ends all military and financial assistance to Zelensky and Trump agrees to honor all the peace terms Russia puts on the table.
The only concession I see Russia making is they agree to withdraw all their troops from Ukraine as part of the final peace agreement.
