We see the consequences of allowing a weaponized Holocaust's claim of victimhood to be used to allow the inhuman slaughter and ethnic cleansing of Gaza. All of this under the pretense of Israeli victimhood on October 7th, claimed as another Holocaust. Israel's response is far beyond the pale of acceptable human standards. There is no proportionality. There is no humanity. They are an occupying army ignoring the responsibility of occupiers. There is no concern with human rights or responsibility. There is no religion that would condone such action.

Conclusions

Gaza is like the Nazis dealing with a Jewish population. But this is a Palestinian Holocaust in full view of the world with an "in your face" attitude. This is pure vengeance. This is gratuitous slaughter. This is like the pogroms. They have created ghettoes, reservations to make an entire population available for death and dehumanization. This is to devalue human life.

And we, who allow the US leadership to stop all human response from becoming a reality, are complicit in the destruction of the guiding principles of being a human being in a planet that requires us to understand our deep connections to each other and to the very web of life.

Will we rise and reclaim the core of our humanity, or will we let that humanity be stripped from us by inhuman leaders under the guise of the Ghost of the Holocaust?
