A new generation is rallying to organize in new and old ways, as exemplified by the Fight for $15. The Sanders-Warren wing of the Democratic Party is openly challenging the failures of the party's Wall Street wing.
Trump's venomous populist posturing has turned out to be simply a calculated distraction from the predators' ball in Washington. Big money will resist, but the democratic space still exists for citizen movements to change our course. And at the center of that will be a renewed effort to empower workers to organize at the workplace.
