Corruption and bribes.

So much for Democracy and transparency!
Deals are being made against the interests of people everywhere by powerful "Unelected" parties, whose only interests are their own profits.

Unless we assume corruption in the form of bribes to government officials, there is no obvious motive for making such agreements. Why do we accept bureacrats making agreements in our names?
