Goodbye, Public education.'There is no model of privatization success. This is vandalism. Vandals from the billionaire-funded “City Fund” have targeted 7 cities, where they will use their millions to destroy public schools &  finance takeover of the local school board.“ Parents would only be able to choose among schools that have autonomy to operate as they see fit. Schools are judged by outcomes ( test scores). This is the “portfolio model,” where local boards  close low-scoring public schools & replace with charter schools.“A version of that strategy is already in place in Denver & Indianapolis. 40% of the charter schools in New Orleans are “failing schools,”Those cities have large charter sectors and enrollment systems that include both district & charter schools In others, like San Antonio, Atlanta, & Camden, struggling district schools have been turned over to charter operators.'

Look at D. C. The District of Columbia, which has been wholly controlled by Reforners since 2007, continues to be one of the lowest-scoring districts in the nation on NAEP. It holds the dubious distinction of having the largest achievement gaps of any city or state in the nation, about double the national average. Yet Reformers still point to it as a "success" story, despite the gaps, despite the cheating scandal, despite the graduation rate scandal, despite the absence of any indecently verified data.

Are you surprised to learn that Muriel Bowser, Mayor of the District of Columbia, has chosen a superintendent who is a graduate of the unaccredited Broad Superintendents Academy, known for its multiple failed superintendrncies and its devotion to closing public schools and turning them over to private management?Oh, and yes, the Mayor wants to take control of the data to be sure it reflects well on "Reform" and her.

Not surprised at all. The Supt. is getting paid!

I imagine the foreign neoliberals that visit the congress and whitehouse approve of this system they perfected centuries ago.

This just in:

OUTRAGE: State Plans to Take Control of Houston District Due to 1 "Failing" School Jacob Carpenter, reporter for the Houston Chronicle, tweeted that the state education department plans to strip the Houston school board of its authority because of the persistently low scores of one school.

BREAKING: Texas Education Commissioner Mike Morath has notified Houston ISD that he plans to strip power from the district's elected board and appoint a new governance team, the result of Wheatley High School's chronically low performance and findings of trustee misconduct.Morath previously served on the Dallas school board. He was a software developer, never an educator.

I know you know this but, it is all by design. One place it is spelled out is in the document, Silent Weapons for Quite wars from the 1950s.

Media: Keep the adult public attention diverted away from the real social issues, and captivated by matters of no real importance.

Schools: Keep the young public ignorant of real mathematics, real economics, real law, and real history.

Entertainment: Keep the public entertainment below a sixth-grade level.

Work: Keep the public busy, busy, busy, with no time to think; back on the farm with the other animals.

"Connecting the Dots." Introduction to Dot1, "Silent Weapons for Quiet Wars."

One needs to truly understand the goals of UN Agenda 21/2030; the rollout of 5G and microchips; sustainable development, the One-government World; and who are the Powers that (should not) Be.

Once understood, the destruction of education is no longer a surprise; it's an horrific attack against humanity linked to many other such crimes...on many fronts.

Take the time to explore the recent links provided by David Watts in his Dot series. Go off the beaten path. It's not pretty, but maybe together we can figure a way to break loose.

Every writer in this country should replace the word 'Privatization' with 'Profitization', because that's what it really is.

It cuts through all the BS as to what is really happening.

We've been brainwashed to believe that 'privatized' means it's more efficient and less expensive. It's not. Not even close.

All privatization means is that the rich continue to steal from the poor. Again, and again, and again. And that should be made completely clear by using the correct term: Profitization.

Just my 2 cents.

Real 'woke' folks commenting here - a pleasure to read it. We have no government - we have corporations running it so the definition of government for and by the people is null and void. What bothers me though are all the minions willing to do the dirty stuff. As bad as it is with our sell out politicians at the top, at every level they are reprehensible:

My god Helen. From your 1st link:

After former Michigan resident Uri Rafaeli accidentally underpaid his tax bill by a mere $8.41, his home was seized by the local government who then sold the house for $24,500 and kept the money. Rafaeli originally paid $60,000 for the property, but the property was recently estimated to be worth $128,000 by Zillow.

In the state of Michigan, the government is allowed to take a resident's home and auction it off to the highest bidder if property taxes are unpaid, thanks to a law passed in 1999 called the 123 Act.

According to Rafaeli's attorneys, the state of Michigan has seized over 100,000 properties under the 123 Act since 2002.

Private attorney Philip Ellison, who has been involved in some of these lawsuits, estimates that the state has taken roughly $36 million in assets from homeowners who fell behind on their property taxes. One of Ellison's clients, Donald Freed, had 36 acres of property seized by the state over a $750 property tax bill. The state then auctioned the property off for $100,000 and kept the profits.

Furthermore, an investigation by Detroit Free Press found that the families of some of these politicians were buying up these foreclosed properties for bargain prices at auction after they were seized by the state.

....................

Your 2nd link is a bit of better news but I will bet Brussels will not get away with the 5G ban:

Brussels halts 5G deployment indefinitely: 5G project, says authorities, not compatible with radiation safety standards

One of the most extensive articles on 5G. Mentions 4G is damaging enough along with wireless devices like smartphones, cordless, baby monitors, smartmeters. The fight should be for reining in ALL wireless:

Helen, your activist post article was not a quick read. I have to go back and finish it. But I will take this from the article as a quick summary,

At this writing, the takeaway generally speaking is that 5G infrastructure (outside cities and dense population areas and absent proper meters) is showing us harm from 3G/4G frequencies, not MMW. As I've suggested elsewhere several times, if we don't stop 3G/4G, welcome all 5G. It will mercifully hasten an end to the coming agony.
