Introducing "Think Twice" Word Detection System To OpEdNews (91 comments)
the system detects words that we think content submitters should consider carefully before using. Some are abused and used to express hate. Some are "languaged" and have extra meaning imbued in them by language strategists like Frank Luntz, and some are foul language, which we are trying to discourage the use of. There is no censorship at all, only suggestions to think twice.

Banning some words HERE on This Website (254 comments)
we've set a policy of banning some words that tend to be abused for hate.
Mention any high traffic progressive websites that allow as wide a discussion, including postings of articles and blogs on the middle east as OpEdNews. Most block all discussion or only allow or encourage articles and blogs on one side or the other-- Pro-palestinian and anti-Israel, Anti- zionist or Pro-Israel. Before crying censorship name a site.

Nonsexist Alternative Language: Handbook for Conscious Writers (36 comments)
One of the most successful and enduring changes effected by the women's liberation movement of the 60s thru 80s was the universal adoption of nonsexist language by governmental, business and educational institutions. To speak with equality is to think with equality, simultaneously confronting and subverting the dominant paradigm. Here are alternatives to those terms you just know you shouldn't use.
