Here is one of the most important videos I've ever seen. James O'Brian speaks about asking "WHY?" as in "Why do you think that?"
I have long asked this question; it got my ass fired from a tenured teaching position, it is what I taught my elementary students for 25 years, and it strikes me as numero uno when listening to others.
The sad part is when they fold up their tent, say FU, and walk away. But speaks vastly more about them than my asking the question.
This from the video text: "James O'Brien is a writer and LBC radio presenter. He has written for the Times Literary Supplement and is a regular columnist for the Daily Mirror. He has presented BBC Two's Newsnight and his own daytime talk show O'Brien on ITV. His daily current affairs phone-in show on LBC has a million weekly listeners and his Unfiltered podcast has been downloaded three million times. How To Be Right is his first book. Recorded live at the Tabernacle in London's Notting Hill on 25th February 2019."
I most highly recommend this, and to those who walk away, the best I can say is either nothing or, if I'm feeling polite, "Goodbye," and have a good life in your case-hardened bubble-brain.
