Currently, there are two nations in the world that are conducting aggressive military actions against other nations or states. No, not Russia and China, nor Turkey and Iran; the two are none other than America and Israel, both of which have been an intimidating force in the Middle East for many years. In addition, the U.S. is using its massive military power to establish control over Central Asia and its vast store of critical resources, primarily natural gas and petroleum.
So, it now has become quite clear; it's America and Israel against the world. These two nations are now so intricately intertwined that their objectives and actions appear to be inseparable. However, the aggressive use of military actions to achieve objectives will only go so far before the world decides that it will have no more; and that time is quickly approaching.
Israel has never had many friends because of its militant actions. Turkey has been an ally of sorts in recent times but that relationship is now going down the drain as a result of the brutally aggressive commando attacks on the Gaza humanitarian flotilla that resulted in the murders of Turkish citizens. Israel now finds itself condemned and denounced by the Turkish government and its people. Further, as a result of these on-going brutal actions, it has, unwittingly, helped to create a new, very formidable coalition of nations; Turkey, Iran and Syria who are banding together to stand up against Israel.
This does not bode well for Israel's security in the Middle East, especially since this new, developing coalition has very close ties to Russia and China, both of which have been establishing a foothold in that region; they have been actively making agreements with this coalition that involve cooperation on nuclear plant building, weapons systems and oil. The balance of power in the Middle East is about to change significantly.
Relations between Israel and China have been deteriorating as a result of China's strengthening ties to Israel's enemies--Iran, Syria, Hezbollah, and Hamas. China has been very vocal in its condemnation of Israel over the suppression of Palestine and, especially, the brutal blockade against Gaza. China has no real need to conduct trade with Israel but it needs Iranian oil and Iran needs Chinese weaponry. Russia is certainly no friend of Israel as there is no love lost between these two nations.
America still has friends and allies in the world but most of them can be divided into three distinct groups. The first group includes Britain, France, Germany and the other nations that comprise NATO. They have been under the American umbrella of protection and also have a thirst for the same critical resources, primarily gas and oil. So let's call this a friendly relationship of necessity, not one of great love and respect.
The second group includes nations such as Iraq, Afghanistan and Pakistan who fear the U.S. military might; also nations such as Georgia, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, and Tajikistan, former Soviet republics who use the U.S. for personal gain and to keep Russia out of their affairs.
Russia is certainly not a friend of the U.S., and because of our close association with Israel, Turkey is beginning to distance itself. Saudi Arabia is no real friend but will do nothing that would damage the relationship because of their massive oil exports to the U.S.
