One thing Trump, Pelosi and Biden all have in common is the promotion of the religious violence promoting and ungodly Bible. This is something to be concerned about in a nuclear age.

Nasrin Sotoudeh is a human-rights activist and lawyer in Iran. She has been imprisoned and whipped with 148 lashes because she refuses to submit to the Islamic theocracy of Iran. The Iranian government fears her so much, they refuse to temporarily release her from prison during the coronavirus pandemic. She is not alone, as other women who resist have made their way to North America.

People looking at the response of the "revealed" religions to the coronavirus pandemic can't help but have strong doubts as to the claims made by the "revealed" religions regarding answered prayers, faith healing, etc. This is an opportunity for Deists, and for all freethinkers, to empower people to break free of the "revealed" religions by letting them know God gave them reason, not religion.

Instead of being on the defense hoping Christian churches will refrain from holding large public church meetings, which causes the spread of the deadly coronavirus, we need to help the people currently under their influence to break free of the harmful false advertising of Christian faith healing. False advertising is not allowed in any venue with the exception of religion. This needs to end.

In the last six months at least four eight-day old baby boys in New York City have been infected with herpes because the rabbis/mohels who circumcised them used their mouth to suck blood from the circumcision wound. This religious crime against children, and all harm caused by all the "revealed" religions, can be stopped with innate God-given reason and Deism.
(2 comments) SHARE Tuesday, January 28, 2020 The Power of Thomas Paine
Thomas Paine is too often overlooked. Without Paine the American Revolution would not have happened. His Common Sense got people off the fence, and The Crisis kept them going when things went from bad to worse. His Deism caused many people to hate him. However, his Deism is the key to countering the theocrats in the religious right.
(1 comments) SHARE Thursday, January 16, 2020 Attention Nones: You Have a Home in Deism
The number of people in the US who are classified as religious "nones" is now at least equal to the number of Catholics and to the number of Christian evangelicals. Contrary to popular assumption, the vast majority of these people are not Atheists, as they are rejecting religion, not belief in God/The Supreme Intelligence. Belief in God plus rejection of religion equals Deism.

The Fascist organization Command of Popular National Insurgence claimed reponsibility for firebombing the production offices of the Brazillian comedy troupe Porta dos Fundos. The Fascists were angry about the troupes film "The First Temptation of Christ", and relied on old time religious violence to show their anger.

Deists and all freethinkers often feel left out during the Christmas season. We don't buy the Jesus story. Thankfully we have something very real to celebrate that happened on December 25, 1776, the Battle of Trenton. This is the battle that saved the American Revolution from failing, and which allows us today to have, to a large degree, freedom of speech, etc.

The religious violence based attack by Black Hebrew Israelites against Jews in a kosher grocery store in New Jersey makes clear the destructive power of man-made "revealed" religions. As the Deist Thomas Paine wrote in The Age of Reason, The Complete Edition, "Belief in a cruel god makes a cruel man."
(16 comments) SHARE Thursday, December 5, 2019 Nancy Pelosi Spews Catholic Propaganda
Nancy Pelosi, perhaps in an effort to win over Christians who vote for Trump and Republicans, claimed she doesn't hate anyone because she is a Catholic. This is pure nonsense, as anyone familiar with Catholicism and the Bible would know. As the Deist Thomas Paine pointed out in The Age of Reason, The Complete Edition, nonsense needs to be treated as nonsense.
(1 comments) SHARE Wednesday, November 27, 2019 Deism in the Struggle Between Humanity and Religion
Humanity cannot be found in the "revealed" religions due to their portrayal of God as being cruel, jealous and genocidal, as well as because of their ambiguity. Reason-based Deism can correct this problem.
(6 comments) SHARE Friday, November 22, 2019 Deism Can Put an End to Religious Misogyny
Misogyny is morally wrong. It is also promoted by all of the man-made Abrahamic "revealed" religions. Recently a woman in Jordan, an Islamic nation, was beaten and had her eyes gouged out by her husband. The Quran claims God commanded Muslim men to beat/scourge women who they fear may become rebellious towards them. Deism can put an end to these harmful religious teachings, if given the chance.
