EFT is "energy psychology," an alternative to traditional talk therapies that involves finger tapping on acupuncture points while repeating short phrases associated with emotional or physical pain. Today I filmed a navy veteran recall the horrors of Viet Nam, then discharge the emotional trauma and become able to comfortably discuss what had haunted him for decades.

Funding Frozen For Proposed Humboldt Voting Machine Switch

Meanwhile, funding for the plan has been frozen at the state level and community members are calling for a public evaluation of additional alternatives.

Humboldt Election Transparency Project Identifies Another Discrepancy In November's Reported Results
The Humboldt County Election Transparency Project has found a second discrepancy in the results of November's election, which were certified as accurate in early December, just prior to discovering the Diebold central tabulation program, GEMS, had secretly deleted 197 ballots from the total count. Now we learn the official count also included 57 ballots counted twice.

The Republican Party of Humboldt County, CA has issued a press release announcing their adoption of a resolution in support of a "public discussion process" before the Board of Supervisors votes on the proposal from Registrar of Voters Carolyn Crnich to switch from Diebold/Premier "election" machines to similar equipment made by Hart InterCivic.
