As I pointed out in a recent article, mainstream media outlets are delivering conspiracy theories -- at least by implication. Therefore, in light of the recent FBI "finding" that such theories can fuel violent terrorism, these outlets should be investigated, censored, blacked out, and de-platformed.

The History Channel would be a prime candidate.

In its series, Ancient Aliens, we are treated to the theory that John Kennedy was murdered to keep him from...here is the quote from the History Channel:

"Theorists propose the possibility that John F. Kennedy was assassinated in order to keep the truth about [extraterrestrial] aliens on Earth from getting out in this clip from Season 12, Episode 9, The Majestic Twelve."

In the episode, this opinion is made clear: government players might well have carried out JFK's murder.

Is the FBI now investigating the History Channel? Is the Bureau walking into History Channel's office and confiscating show notes, memos, computers, and footage? At the very least, the Ancient Aliens series should be taken off the air, right?

Where are the politicians and CNN talk show heads in this conspiracy scandal? Millions of History Channel viewers are being subjected to the idea that the CIA killed Kennedy. How many unbalanced individuals, exposed to this inflammatory notion, have taken up anti-government positions, and how many have resorted to the use of weapons?

Of course, you and I and every other decent citizen want to fall in line with the FBI's conclusion that conspiracy theories fan the flames of terrorism. Certainly. Absolutely. Definitely.

Therefore, let's insist the FBI shut down the History Channel as soon as possible.

But wait. Oh. I see. Conspiracy theories forwarded by the mainstream are acceptable, but theories proposed by "outliers" are the dangerous ones. How convenient. Whew. Everything is OK. The structure is preserved. We have a standard of judgement.

Mainstream=good; dissenting individuals=evil.

"Why hasn't the History Channel been shut down?"

Goes with other questions...

Why don't Trump, Bolton, or Pompeo lose their Twitter accounts?

Why don't CNN, MSNBC, or other MSM outlets lose their Facebook accounts?

Why do RT and Sputnik have to include a disclaimer on all their YouTube pages that they're subsidized by a foreign government, while all others are simply described as "public broadcast services"?

[Lots of similar questions you can choose from can follow.]

To your question as well as mine, we all know why.

The corporatized US gov't system cannot exist without conspiracies to undermine the law and public interests.

It's simpler than it seems. There is no threat to the status quo from people believing that aliens are involved in JFK's assassination; in fact, there is barely any threat to the status quo from anything that's designated as "history" since the CIA etc. can always say "that's the old CIA. We don't do things like that any more." Ha, but it keeps people distracted with historical puzzles, not anything that would mess up contemporary operations, like destabilizing Venezuela, Iran, etc.

And the History Channel has another weakness. Beneath the razzle-dazzle production quality, they never seem to quite conclude anything definitive. The alien pictures are always a bit too fuzzy (still?? Even in this day when we can get close-ups of Saturn?), the witnesses always a bit too uncorroborated, the theories a bit too vague.

They keep us distracted. The same thing happened with the ancient Romans with their policy of "Bread and Circuses."

"Why hasn't the History Channel been shut down?"

Is that really so hard to work out ? Firstly, we need to work out from where the IDEA came from, that CONSPIRACY theories even existed.

I believe, you will discover the idea stemmed from none other than that clandestine organisation called the C.I.A. Who introduced the concept when truthful information leaked out, which was then labeled a "conspiracy" to ridicule the information thus it's relevance.

Then on the other hand, the same organisation released information, false or truthful to push an agenda, they allowed it to be called a Conspiracy because it seemed folks took more notice.

Clearly, the History Channel will not be shut down, because it is an instrument of misleading information to the masses. B.T.W. Wikipedia and YouTube also fall into that category.
