Why is Namibia furious at Germany's ICJ intervention supporting Israel? | Inside Story Namibia has condemned Germany's backing of Israel against genocide charges at the International Court of Justice. It says, given ...

[I am using an Al Jazeera News Video about Namibia objecting to Germany having any presence in the Hague International Court Proceedings. Deutschland Unter Alle has one Judge on that court]

Reported in Times of Israel today, This request was for an Advisory Opinion by the Hague Court, and it pre-dates the case filed by South Africa. None the less, it is quite significant.

78th UN General Assembly/Emergency Session, voted in December 2022 to request that the ICJ, as organ of the UN, issue advisory opinion about Israeli policy in the Palestine violated international law. Several other Nations have submitted written comments on the UNGA request, including Jordan, Qatar, Belize, Bangladesh, Indonesia and Egypt. I asked a lot more than that to weigh in on this urgent matter, at least as FRIENDS OF THE COURT, or Amicus Curiae in Latin.

The Slovenian foreign minister, rrific consequences are still visible today," said Slovenian Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Tanja Fajon, announced last week that Slovenia had decided to "actively participate" in the motion for an advisory opinion due to the current conflict in Gaza and the situation in the West Bank and examine "the ongoing violation by Israel of the right of the Palestinian people to self-determination, from its prolonged occupation, settlement and annexation of the Palestinian territory occupied since 1967," as well as policies in East Jerusalem, and "discriminatory legislation." Slovenia's decision to participate in the motion gives it the ability to submit a written position on the issues raised by the UN General Assembly's request, not merely an Amicus Curiae statement. "This is a very broad spectrum of alleged violations that have been committed in the region for decades she said at a press conference following Slovenian government's decision Thursday.

"Slovenia has consistently called for additional sanctions against Hamas and violent Israeli settlers in the West Bank, as well as for the establishment of a permanent ceasefire in Gaza, unrestricted humanitarian access and the early start of a two-state solution peace process," she added. The first hearing on the case is scheduled to take place on February 19, and with Netanyahu vowing all out war, to hell with the consequences, EVEN FROM BOTH HAGUE COURTS, in one month from now, what will be the additional death toll?

Add up the Dead Palestinians, subtract the Dead Israelis, put a value on each life, and that is how much Israel and its allies will have to pay, I predict.
