Sermonella

I'd like to write my sermon
On the mound;
Not too preachy
Or profound.
A short rap,
A thoughtful story.
Maybe even
An allegory;
About a bird
Who flew too high,
And built a space nest
In the sky.
Or maybe just
A prayer for peace,
Or long range missiles
To decrease.
It's so grandiose
There's nothing to it,
No one cares
So I say screw it.
