I woke up yesterday morning in a funk and a daze much as I have for the past several months. Late last fall I lost two of the dearest souls I have known, my mother and my dog of 16 years. I am taking meds for advanced arthritis which effect my mood.
In addition as some of you may have noticed the world seems a bit crazy lately.
Honestly, I have questioned the point of..well, anything.
Later I heard a thump against the balcony window and saw that a small bird, some type of warbler, had flown into it and fell to the pavement stunned. It was mid afternoon on the first hot day of the year (24 Â degrees C). The bird lay in the shade but the sun was encroaching. A large murder of crows resides in this area. I hear them every morning. You can hear them in the background of the video.
For the next half hour or so we kept moving the little bird from the sun to keep it from stroking out. Gradually, it seemed to be coming out of its daze so we tried to give it a little water in a pill lid.
After taking a drink it seemed to become a little more alert.
Fifteen minutes later:
Things seem clearer to me now.
Maybe this will help some of you.
