Consumers (meaning all of us): Speak Up!. The Trump administration's EPA (Environmental Perversion Agency) is proposing fighting California's standards for auto emissions, which are higher than national and proposed lesser standards. Some car manufacturers support the California standards while others support the Trump regressive standards. In these highly crucial times of impending global-warming catastrophes and environmental deterioration, it is essential for all progressive groups to bond together to fight these regressive, environmentally criminal policies. It is time for us, the consumers, to speak and act out forcefully to oppose the Trump policies.
Our best tactic is simply to boycott the cars of those manufacturers who support the Trump plan - to activate our potential power as conscientious consumers by telling manufacturers what we want and need for our (the world's) benefit instead of being told and persuaded what to buy for their profit. It is their "supply side" vs. our "demand side" economics. That is how market forces should work when not tampered with or left up to an "invisible hand" to regulate. It may only be a drop in the bucket of what is needed to fight global warming, but it is a step in the right direction.
We see now popular uprisings across the globe against corrupt and inefficient governments working for the wealthy, polluting corporations. Now it is time to show our outrage against the amoral corporate world that rules those governments.
