Zero Dark 30 in the toilet

Had we implemented a robust form of JFK's Peace Corps vision, we could have fielded a million Americans a year doing good at home or abroad for 50 consecutive years, invested $30,000 per year in each of them, and consequently eliminated most wars, much poverty, terrorists recruitment, and dramatically reduced looming disastrous climate change for less than half ($1.5 trillion) the trumped-up Iraq War price.

 

If you believe we shouldn't delay starting doing such now, sign People's Lobby's (PLI)   American World Service Corps (AWSC) Congressional Proposal petition at www.change.org/petitions/view/field_21_million_american_world_service_corps_volunteers_over_the_next_27_years?te=npf .   If introduced and passed in Congress, 21million Americans could serve over the subsequent 27 years.   

 

The approximate $620 billion AWSC investment might seem like a lot, but not when one realizes that over a generation it saves many multiples of that by avoiding wars that will rage without it, poverty that would have been unaddressed, increased rather than decreased terrorists recruiting and costly targeting, and climate change effects that would have gone unchecked.
