But what will We the People, E Pluribus Unum, say to those desperate Japanese prospective immigrants? "Oh, well, we're sorry, but we haven't got room for so many of you. You'll strain our system. Hey, if you like, we'll start a lottery, and those who get winning tickets can come in in addition to our Japanese quota." Eh?
I'm not scared of immigration, nor of immigrants; there's an immigrant in everyone's past. I have become much more suspicious of the business interests of those who most want to ban them.
