War in American can be likened to a life threatening disease that has taken over a person's body. And while that person has a good income and adequate medical insurance, and knows that this disease should be treated immediately, he foolishly postpones treatment while aggressively pursuing his business interests. Likewise, war is a great threat to the future life of this nation; a disease that is ravaging the body of America and going untreated.
By continuing to conduct these senseless wars and expanding the military outreach, America is following the same formula that resulted in the collapse of every major empire in the history of the world; unbridled expansion, massive, unsustainable costs and the destruction of domestic financial foundations. We as a nation must learn the lessons of history, not repeat them. So, what's going to happen, how is this all going to end?
It took over six decades after World War II and trillions of dollars to build the greatest military force in the history of the world. To sustain and expand it in the future will take trillions more. So here is a very likely scenario: the succession of wars and the expansion of the military have now succeeded in draining the wealth of America; and because of this fact, the loss of this wealth is now going to slowly but surely drain the strength of this empire and bring it down.
