The only substance that could have been easily distributed and put in the right places, which burns at a temperature over 5000 degrees, is thermite.

So what will happen when the oligarchy of upper-crust Americans plunder their country enough to leave it completely broken, destitute, polluted, poisoned and seething mad? Where will these fabulously wealthy Americans go with all their loot if America becomes, and remains, an unsafe, insecure, sick and undesirable place to spend their riches? What if their gated communities and compounds are eventually threatened by surrounding millions of pissed-off Americans stripped of their entitlements and birthrights, their children racked by asthma and cancer from pollution such as that being generated from the Gulf of Mexico oil volcano, and so finally aware of how badly they've been screwed and by whom?
Here's one escape plan for the superrich that's starting to catch on: a new fleet of castles that float in the oceans. The super-wealthy are already building their first floating castle -- a billion-dollar-plus luxury liner that offers permanent multimillion-dollar housing with the best protection of all: moats consisting of oceans, to keep the land-based Americans they've plundered at a safe distance.
The first such floating castle has been christened the "Utopia" -- the South Korean firm Samsung has been contracted to build the $1.1 billion ship, due to be launched in 2013.
The floating castle is a longtime dream of libertarian oligarchs Milton Friedman's grandson, Patri Friedman, and financed by the bizarre right-wing PayPal founder, Peter Thiel. Here then is a place where the very rich can live their lives in peace, free from the environmental destruction that their largely unregulated corporate enterprises have wrought, and free from the teeming masses of starving losers and indebted parasites with their never ending tax revenue demands.
Both Thiel and Milton Friedman's grandson see American democracy as the enemy. Both published their anti-democracy proclamations in the same billionaire-Koch-family-funded outlet, Cato Unbound, one of the oldest billionaire-fed libertarian welfare dispensaries.
