Black Americans are so hated!

When I told a librarian that I found Joker disturbing, racists, she looked shunned. How could it be possible that I didn't think as she did. Oh, I found it wonderful. A really good film! I had to remind her that I was a black woman. I identified with the black women in the filmnot the Joker! And the way these women were portrayed, particularly the "love" interestreally? This is normal? And, if the Joker had been played by a black actor, would the police has been so thoughtful as to ask him kindly whether or not he had anything to do with the killings in that subway train?

Oh, well , and she turns away, as if to signal to the white male librarian nearby that my assessment of the film didn't matter. What do I know?

Hearing again and again that the black vote will matter must be unsettling for many Americans. Indifference shapeshifting into numbers on a screen. I'm sure there's some betting outfit or two making a profit, even this early.

So the pundits are busy. Scrambling to halt a revolution, they are attempting to showing people of color, particularly African Americans, the horror that lies ahead if Sanders receives any more of their attention.

But, alas, they can't call on the socialist-leaning Martin Luther King anymore.

We aren't allowed to decide that enough is enough? We've witnessed Democrats smuggling up to the 1%. We've witnessed the catering to the 1% as if they the lot of them were untouchable. And they are, aren't they? African Americans can always be sacrificeda cut here and a cut there. More prisons and arrests. No money for schools or teachers. But plenty in the budget for the Lockheed Martins, Raytheons, the Chase Ban ks, ExxonMobiles. Don't bother Amazon or Google with a tax form, listing the appropriate number of zeros to appear on the dotted line.
