We rescued Vietnamese boat people who have become very successful and contributed much to the country.  Look at the vibrant Cuban refugee economy in Florida.   Imagine Little Baghdads all over America.

To begin, we need to immediately create resettlement camps for those Iraqis who need somewhere safe to live permanently.  I am sure that Haliburton will be happy to construct these camps to the best humane standards.

Imagine the possibilities.  We will have millions of Iraqis who come to feel grateful for the rescue, who learn English, and bequeath the lessons of American responsibility on their children. How much better to welcome them here rather than forcing them to remain in a country where they and their relatives are blown to bits every day? Just think how far would this go toward healing bitter wounds?

Now fair is fair.  In this case it is only fair that those who cared so much for the welfare of the Iraqis that they decided to vote for this war should be welcome the chance to provide the hospitality for those who were so injured by the war's outcomes.  Accepting these refugees into their homes and social welfare systems would be a constant reminder of the true good- hearted nature of those Americans who wanted to share the benefits of "freedom" with those poor benighted Arabs.

To insure that this is truly fair for all those "caring" Americans, I suggest we allocate the refugees using a simple proportionate system.  The number of refugees would be divided up among the states based on both the state's size and its support for the war.
