It seems that right now nobody has any good answers of what to do with yet another broken country.  Our track record isn't very good if you remember what happened when the US pulled out of Cambodia, Somalia, and Bosnia.  Maybe we can stop doing these stupid wars if this time, America sucked it up and finally did the right thing.Remember Colin Powell's dictum: "you broke it, you own it."

Yes, we broke it and now we own it.   it is time for us to admit that we were horribly wrong to go break Iraq and that the longer we are there, the more we fragment it further. Sure, there have been fewer suicide bombings since the Surge.  But Americans tend to forget that there were no suicide bombings before the '03 invasion.  We can't continue to bankrupt ourselves supporting this failed occupation.

~

Its time to pack up, and go home, and having broken it (Iraq), it's time to bring it (or at least those Iraqis who want to come) back home with us.

~

Simply put, millions of people in Iraqis, presently afraid to leave their homes, cannot be left to the tender mercies of the religious fanatics and tribal hatreds.  Two million innocent refugees now remain in a no-man's-land in Jordan and Syria, and they need help soon.

~

If we care so much for the future of the innocent Iraqis and their prospects without our protection, our only moral choice is to take care of them right here on U.S soil.  The only simple, honorable response is for the US to massively evacuate anyone who is too afraid to go home, and to resettle them safely here in the US while the inevitable civil war among the crazy tribal factions burns itself out.
