A war with Russia in Syria could escalate into a nuclear conflagration. Let's call it for what it is, madness. Yet that seems to reside in the minds of the neo-cons and their R2P responsibility to protect neo-liberal fellow travelers in the US.
This is a most dangerous time. Maybe the most dangerous ever.
