Yesterday he relied on lawsuits to bully and terrorize, tomorrow he will rely on torture and bullets.
What will our economy look like under Trump? Historically and
without fail, tyrants, dictators and psychopaths loot their country's
treasury for their own personal enrichment -- this is a certainty with
Trump. He already has a long track record of thievery in his business
dealings. And having 6 bankruptcies under his belt is the best indicator
of someone who is totally incompetent to make fiscal decisions. An
abrupt switch to digital cash may come sooner than expected to easily
facilitate forced compliance by robbing citizens of their money. A broke
society is an enslaved society.
Women's rights have been consistently eroded under decades of right wing driven misogyny. This will escalate under Trump -- he will create laws gutting women's rights and abolish existing laws which currently protect them.
With Trump's plan to open public lands to fracking and oil extraction you can expect the National Park system to die a certain death. What the curse of climate change doesn't bring down upon our heads, Trump's policy of ecocide will finish. Between fracking and increasing drought, finding water pure enough to drink will be like searching for gold.
How about foreign policy? Trump is known to become easily enraged. His uncontrolled, maniacal outbursts will only find satisfaction in some Satanic release. Trump, who believes that nuclear war is survivable, is completely delusional and so mentally disturbed that he has no rationale left. Life on this planet will not survive him, unless some force intervenes to stop him.
Trump thrives on chaos and with every, new, evil edict, he will be even
more motivated by his pleasure at creating unending suffering.
Just as he stated that he would not recognize the election results if he lost, conversely he will not recognize the Constitution or any part thereof.
Expect that Trump will not step down at the end of his 4 year term --
should humanity survive that long under his reign of terror.
For those of you considering civil insurrection, temper that thought
with the reality that there are only a handful of blue states left,
including Hawaii, which because of its geographic isolation wouldn't be
of much help in a conventional sense, should civil war commence. Since
blue states are concentrated on the opposite ends of the United States,
geography becomes an overwhelming obstacle.
Considering Canada as an alternative? I moved to BC after Bush stole
the 2000 (s)election and stayed for 12 years. Under Stephen Harper it
was as locked down and fascist as the US.
Unless you've lived there you couldn't possibly understand the amount of
anti-American animosity many Canadians have for the US. We are
considered arrogant bullies and an American accent definitely works
against you.
Don't expect the welcome wagon at the Canadian border, either.
Anti-American sentiment runs deep. My treatment was consistently brutal.
They don't want Americans living in Canada, but they certainly do want
your money. Canada makes every effort to deny Americans' citizenship.
The cost of applying is high [many thousands for immigration lawyers]
and the waiting period for acceptance is 6 yrs. They can then deny you
citizenship without even giving you a reason for your rejection, and
they often do. All the money and time invested are wasted. I chose to
cross the border every 6 months to stay legal and skipped the system
altogether. That, too, became expensive, time consuming and a complete
nightmare of inconvenience.
Given the spread of fascism into every western country, there is no place left with any freedom or safety to go.
I watched the cheering faces of Trump supporters in the midst of
triumphant ecstasy, and was reminded of the tsunami on December 26th,
2004. As the water receded from the beaches and a 100 ft wave formed in
the distance, people stood at the shore and pointed. They were calm,
even amused, as the wall of death approached. By the time they realized
their lingering had cost them their lives, it was too late.
Trump supporters will go about their business, expecting life to improve
under the Trump regime. They are clueless to the wall of misery and
death headed their way, because they failed so spectacularly to
recognize an out-of-control monster.
