Also, not one single Quran was roasted simply because it is illegal to burn something on federal property and also had nothing to burn - a counter protest group stole the Quran they were to set fire to. The language on Facebook was staggeringly obtuse:
"We can do pretty much anything else to the Caraun [sic] except burnet [sic]" a doleful post on the event's Facebook page read.
"It's a roast, like a celebrity roast," one of the demonstrators, Mitch Calderon, tried to explain.
Go figure.
The Violence of Righteous Arrogance: Real or Bizarre Bombast?

That's after, of course, James David Manning of Atlah Worldwide Missionary Church (in Harlem) castrates the men and slits the throats of the women who dare to protest one of his services. (see below for more threats by this ne'er do well ) pastor. After you view the video, try to compose a straight face while thinking that people actually follow this "Christian" pastor.
Such statements have made Pastor Manning the butt of jokes and ridicule at OpEdNews h ere, here, here, and here. He has been called the Harlem Hate Pastor and people are afraid for the children attending his charter school.
Such threats surely can be regarded as some form of hate speech, the kind the Christian Right has used to trumpet screams of being dragged to jail... en mass.
