The US conducts what it calls "Freedom of Navigation" patrols in the South China Sea and Taiwan Straits. China views them as provocations. In reality these patrols are nothing more than an updated version of the old "Gunboat Diplomacy" the US exercised in Chinese rivers in the early twentieth century before Mao's Communists prevailed in China in 1949, thus ending the US presence in the country.
Then along with all the sinister actions the US president and his government has taken i.e. the coups involving the CIA, targeted assassinations of legitimately elected leaders, resort to torture, indefinite detention of suspects, war crimes committed by US troops revealed in videos, the idea as Biden said, "The United States does not seek conflict in the Middle East and the rest of the world" is absolutely ludicrous.
The US government and its president have engaged in a litany of atrocities any honest observer can't ignore.
So to condemn ones government and its president for committing atrocities is not condemning the country. Governments change. Although the US government doesn't distinguish between itself and the country it governs. To the government it's all the same. It isn't.
It is a human right to assess the government ruling over them. And if that government commits heinous acts in the world it deserves to be condemned.
Yes in the US we've all been subjected to official government propaganda which many (most) have internalized and indoctrinated themselves into believing.
Hopefully more people will see the light transcend the propaganda they've been taught and see what their government really is.
That is not easy task. Cognitive dissonance may result turning upside down the world one has come to believe in.
It may be the price one has to pay to get closer to the truth.
