After Soleimani was killed by a U.S. drone in Iraq, Trump and Secretary of State Pompeo were all over the map on justifications for the operation. They contradicted one another about whether or not Soleimani was about to blow up U.S embassies, and how many embassies were to be blown up-all with no evidence presented whatsoever. To say this was a dangerous chaotic mess is an understatement. There was a distinct possibility of triggering a regional conflagration for who knows what reason other than incompetence, ignorance and hubris.
Unfortunately, fate has now dropped-kicked Trump and his B.S. through the goalposts of a domestic coronavirus epidemic.
In India, Trump recently claimed that the U.S. had the coronavirus situation well in hand; of coarse he probably had no idea, but was reportedly in a panic about the tanking U.S stock market, and hoped to assuage concerns. If the inherited robust U.S. economy tanks before election day, Trump's budding dictatorship might go south like one of his casinos.
Publicly, Trump immediately went to his one-page playbook that would be a word salad of superlatives with unlimited b.s. sticks. Does Trump have at his disposal: "a great group of talented people" or "a talented group of great people"? doesn't matter, he has no clue and no interest except staying in power and out of jail.
True to form, members of the Trump administration are contradicting their boss according to CNN: "President Donald Trump's optimistic statements about the coronavirus are increasingly being undermined by more alarming comments from public health officials in his own administration and warnings the outbreak is now certain to reach U.S. soil."
Just like another incompetent Republican sociopathic president who was blindsided by Hurricane Katrina, and subsequently failed tragically and comprehensively in the aftermath, Trump is manifestly clueless and incapable of empathy or compassion.
Let's hope that somehow; among the obsequious nit-wits, grifters and fanatics that comprise the Trump administration, someone has sufficient competence to spearhead an effective response to the looming coronavirus epidemic, unfortunately especially considering the initial response - there is no reason to believe there is. B.S. and denial win, not win the day.(Note: You can view every article as one long page if you sign up as an Advocate Member, or higher).
