sailed five boats in 2008 to break the illegal naval blockade of Gaza;

--the Gaza Freedom Flotillas of 2010, 2011, individual boats in 2012 and another Flotilla in 2015;

--the Gaza's Ark project, renovating a fishing boat in Gaza City harbor into a cargo vessel to break the blockade from the Gaza side carrying products from Gaza (Gaza's Ark was destroyed by an IDF missile in the 2014 Israeli attack on Gaza);

--and followed by the very recent "Women's Boats to Gaza" in September 2016, all bringing international attention to the continuing illegal Israel naval blockade of Gaza.

All of these events, organized by ordinary citizens from around the world, created media coverage not only of the events themselves, but of the brutal illegal Israeli blockade of Gaza, the illegal Israeli settlements in the West Bank, the apartheid walls built by Israel on Palestinian land and the imprisonment of thousands of Palestinians without trial, including members of the Palestinian Parliament.

After a day of discussions about the religious and cultural plight of Palestinians in Gaza, the West Bank and Palestinian citizens of Israel, the conference concluded with various tasks for its members with the main goal of drawing international attention to the Israeli takeover of Muslim cultural and religious landmarks particularly in Jerusalem.
