'Assuming the planes were hijacked,' Dr. Griffin said, 'the US military failed to intercept these flights. This is a very well-rehearsed procedure. F-15's and fly at 1500 mph. We have statements from FAA and US military officials saying "we can intercept any flight within 10 minutes." They can get their planes up and into the air to 20,000 feet in two and a half minutes. 24 minutes after the controller first noticed problems with the flight, the first plane crashed into the World Trade Center.'

Dr. Griffin cited the statements of two Air Traffic Controllers: that of Colin Scoggins and Robin Horton. "Scoggins called in at 8:29 --not 8:31, as the 9/11 Commission claimed. Horton said 8:20 AM. The military would have had over 29 minutes to make the interception. These tapes have been cherry-picked and doctored," Dr. Griffin asserted.

"Colonel Robert Marr claims to have had only four fighter jets under his command. Otis and Langley are the only bases that are designated as alert bases, but that does not mean these are the only bases that could have sent up fighters.

"Popular Mechanics claimed that at the end of the Cold War, the US no longer maintained fighter jets on alert status. Otis has two fueled and ready-to-fly jets every day of the year.

'Popular Mechanics claims to be allowed to determine what the facts were. Popular Mechanics accuses the 9/11 Truth Movement of creating a "straw-man" theory. Hamilton said that the jet fuel melted the steel frames of the buildings. He did not even discuss the melting temperature of hydrocarbon fires. The core columns of the World Trade Center would not have even been one quarter that hot," Dr. Griffin pointed out. "NIST is not a scientific report. It is a politicized document put together by the Bush/Cheney administration."


The Testimonials.

There are 118 testimonials by employees of the NYFD saying that explosions were going off in the Twin Towers during the 9/11 attacks Theresa Belize an employee in the North Tower is one of them. Coburn journalists cannot rely on reports written by defenders of the federal government. The scientists at NIST knew that a petroleum-based fire cannot melt steel. Other testimonials include Peter Tully of Peter Tully Construction Company, and that of NYFD Captain Phillip Revolo. Phillip Revolo said he saw pools of molten steel. This could not have resulted from a petroleum-based fire.


The Damage to the Pentagon.

'Hani Hanjour was known to be a terrible pilot. How did he hit "Wedge one" of the Pentagon? He had to have flown the airplane in a downward spiral. Totally impossible. The official response from the Bush/Cheney administration,' said Dr. Grifin, 'is that he only flew it manually during the last eight minutes.' Of course, it was during the last eight minutes that the most difficult flying took place, so this explanation is even more ridiculous.

'There is unanimity in the 9/11 Truth Movement,' Dr. Griffin asserted, 'that if terrorists had been in charge of this plane hiting the Pentagon, then they would not have crashed it into "Wedge One." "Wedge One" was the only side of the Pentagon that had been reinforced. It was under remodel. Very few offices were in use. If terrorists had been in charge of the crash, they would have crashed their plane into the other side of the Pentagon, where Donald Rumsfeld was,' asserted Dr. Grifin to an amused audience.


Flight 93: Why did it crash?

Conspiracy theories:

1) The passengers brought it down.

2) The fearful hijackers brought it down.

"TRUTHFULLY, IT WAS SHOT DOWN," declared Dr. Griffin. "Debris from the airplane was distributed over an eight mile area. The 9/11 Commission claimed that the military could not have shot it down because it did not even know it had been hijacked. This claim is not supported by the available facts. All the official spokesmen for the administration do is they confront the 9/11 Truth Now claims with the claims of the 9/11 Commission Report," said Dr. Griffin. They do not adequately respond to the charges of fraud in the report.

"Larry Arnold was asked what he was doing at 8:24AM. He said he was focusing on Flight 93 because he had been informed by the FAA. The issue is did the military know about the flight. Bronner is not teling the truth," asserted Dr. Griffin.
