One would sanely reflect that after 15 years of unproductive and meaningless slaughter of Americans in another hemisphere and two seas from our coast -- that we could reasonably expect to simply stop doing this, and allow the Middle Easterners to fight amongst themselves for their religious differences or whatever in Hell this is all about.
